CLASS PROPHECY OF BATCH 2016

(Alarm clock ringing) “Oh! What’s that? It was disgusting!” I picked my phone up and clicked the stop button. I was shocked when I saw the time. “Oh my God! It’s already 7o’clock in the morning.” I ran as fast as I could to reach the comfort room. I rushed in taking my bath and I didn’t even eat breakfast. I grabbed the key of my car and while I opened the door, I dialed a phone number.

“Hello, I’ll be late.”

“Today is Sunday. Then why you’ll be late?”

“Do you forget that even Sunday we have work?”

“Oh! I forgot it. It’s already 7:45 in the morning. What if you don’t attend in the work? Just rest or try to spend your time in doing something. One more thing, you can’t be fired if you don’t attend to the work right?”

“OK fine. You’re right. Well then, I will see you tomorrow.”

“OK. Take care always.”

I decided to drive to my favorite restaurant Jhenalyn’s Restaurant, where I can taste the different cuisines in the whole world. Let me tell you that I was shocked when I first met the owners and also the chefs of the restaurant. I didn’t expect that they are my former classmates. Jhezery Estabillo and Renalyn Nabor who studied abroad to learn many new cooking skills.

After I ate in my favorite restaurant, I drove again and saw a church then I remembered that today is Sunday, so I stopped over. When I enter the church I see Christian Forcadela handling a Bible and making some sharing. He is now a pastor. I have no doubt that he became a pastor, because when we were in high school. He always read a Bible even school days and every weekends he was on church. I sat down on the chair and after 30 minutes I left the church.

I went next to the JD Mall of Asia. Jaydee Dacio is owning it. His always serious face fits on what his life now. I went to the National Book Store, a part of the mall that I love to scroll. I scan the books then I see a book entitled ‘A Dream Come True’ written by Deryl Cacayuran, and ‘History to Remember’ written by Jerwin Cortez. Deryl and Jerwin’s books are always the best seller in any book stores here in the Philippines. I grabbed the two books and headed to the counter. I opened my bag and got my wallet. I was surprised when I saw that I don’t have bills anymore. I’m thankful that I have my credit card, so I use it.

After that I immediately went to the bank to withdraw some money. I saw my former classmate Khariza Gift Selga, now a banker in the Metro Bank. She is one of the richest persons in the Philippines.

As I withdraw, I remember to go to the Kyline Technical Store. I bought a new laptop to use it in my work. This technical store gives quality products and support in all technical matters. The owner of this store is no other than Pauline De Leon. The store name was from her name and her boyfriend’s name.

I visited next the David’s Salon. I thought I needed some make-over to lessen the stress that I’ve been feeling. There’s a lot customers. So I decided to go to the mini-living room of the David’s Salon then I saw a KPOPMAG. I opened it, and found out that the editor-in-chief of the magazine was Ms. Fatima Candelario. No wonder she became the editor-in-chief of KPOPMAG. She’s an editorial staff when we were high school and also a fan of KPOPs. I read articles then my turn came. A total make-over that David’s Salon done. Alfred Jovenal was the master hair designer, Joel Palit-ang was the master stylist apprentice, and Eleisson JC Flores was the master make-up artist. Alfred, Joel, and Eleisson were the international well known hair designer, stylist apprentice, and make-up artist. They were doing make overs not only in local but also in other countries. They make-over the famous actresses in the Hollywood.

I looked my watch. It was 11:30 am. I need to eat my lunch. I headed to the KFC. This franchise store is now owned by Charlene Dato. After I ate my lunch, I went to the derm care. A dermatologist gave me an advice on how to take care of my skin, Dr. Lenard Serrano. No wonder he became a dermatologist. Even before he was very conscious in his physical appearance and now he is a famous dermatologist, we can approach him in terms of skin care.

Then suddenly, I felt that I wanted to watch a movie. I heard my co-workers yesterday talking about the movie ‘My Lifetime’. The leading lady in this show was Christine Joy Dulay, a best actress, and her leading man was Dave Tayan, a best actor. July Palaming was also awarded as best supporting actress. Hazel Tiffany Namit and Jamaica Libao, the famous and great actresses were also awarded in the Metro Manila Film Festival, also casts of the movie. This movie is directed by Jericho Sevidal and John Paul Soriano both multi-awarded and famous directors, and produced by Venus Elizabeth Cunanan, a famous producer. ‘My Lifetime’ is also showing in the Hollywood.

After I watched the movie I was feeling stressed, so I decided to go back to my condo. I bought it from Jamel Flores’ Condo Company. Jamel was the famous architect who designed big buildings in different countries.

Anyway, I opened the radio and I heard the voice of DJ JT or DJ Jericho Telles introducing the latest song hit. This song was composed by the colorful CG. CG stands for Clarisse Gameng. The song was entitled ‘Best Friend Forever’, sung by Eljoy Mahilum. Clarrise Gameng and Eljoy Mahilun were great friends when we were high school and until now they are best friends. Is it a sign that there is forever?

I don’t like the next song played on the radio so I switched on the TV. Ow! Is that Monique Ann Nazareno, AraRequintin, and Bernadette Senoto who’s reporting? Amazing! Their voices are very wonderful. They are now the news anchors on BAM News and Current Affairs. Did I heard it right? The Philippine Representative in Asia’s Got Talent is the Grand Winner! The representative was a group of men named ‘Most Wanted 88’. They are Justine John Calputora, Jhonfoll Lungay, Gerald Mina, and Dexter Soberano. Another pride of the Philippines!

Another great news, the South China Sea probably the West Philippine Sea is back to the ownership of the Philippines. China lose in the hearing. The success behind of it, who fought for this is no other than the great lawyer of all time, Atty. Juriel Ann Dulay. She won all the cases she handle. I don’t have doubt that she became a successful lawyer because years ago, she really liked to become a lawyer. She always fight for what was right.

Another news that is featuring in the Star Patrol. The phenomenal love team has a new teleserye entitled ‘Taking Chances’. These phenomenal love team were Giselle Bambico and Wendell Requintin. They are the high school sweethearts back then.

I turned off the TV and got the newspaper on my side. There are lot of topics featured. The Top 5 Outstanding Teachers of the Decade. They are: Kristian Erika Bautista, Ana Mae Estal, Kimberly Joyce Quinit, Mary Joyce Sevilla, and Danica Narciza. The Top 3 Businessmen also featured. They are: Jonel Esperanzate, a distributer of the high-tech motorcycles, Jimboy Guleng, an owner of famous gymnasium, and John Michael Libao, also a distributer of incredible bicycles.

As I turned the pages, another thing caught my eye, Mario Soberano owned the Hacienda de Mario. The Biggest Monterey in the Philippines, MRS Monterey owned by the business icons, Marites Fernandez, Rosabelle Mapile, and Samuella Montimor. Michelle Castillo also owned the MC’s World Resort and Leisure.

I read also that the very successful agriculturist in all time was Joven Telles. He owned many lands, which the crops were planted on, and his company sold many agricultural products. His business partner John Michael Bautista was also a successful man. He is an all-time great aqua culturist. They really work together in the successfulness of their fields. The company they own has many great men behind. The great and famous agriculturists Jomar Awanan, Marvin Gonzales, Mike Roger Manubay, Billy Joe Navarro and Pepito Tambot. The great and famous aqua culturist, Michael Ombrog, Marlon Padawan, Roberto Sabado, Gerald Guiller Sotillo, and Edward Telles.

Then I turn the paper into the sports page. Then I saw the name of my former classmate who only qualifed in the Regional Schools Press Conference no other than Lj Soberano. He is now a Sports Writer in the Philippine Daily Inquirer. He is a famous journalist. The great impacts of his articles on the readers made him an outstanding Sports Writer in the whole world. The Philippine Sport Commission Athletes of the decade also featured. Billy Ray Bautista now a boxer, Bernard James Ducot, a billiard player, and Eric Penuliar is now a swimmer. There is also a Pinay who will be joining the Olympics 2026 in Las Vegas, USA for the Women’s Sport Basketball, Jonnalyn Caoile. She was only my batch mate that goes to the Region I Athletic Association.

While I’m reading the sports page, I heard some noise, I heard some noise done by my tummy. I’m very thankful that I have cook books in my kitchen. The cook books authors were Rosemarie Caoile and Laurence Mapile. They are very helpful to me, because of their books I learned how to cook different delicious recipes.

After I cooked. I ate then took a bath again because I felt sticky. I open my closet that I bought in the Rosemarie Valera’s Furniture Shop. It has branches in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Then I grabbed simple blouse and skirt and wore it. Then I saw my laundry basket flowing. So I decided to go to the famous MM Laundry shop owned by Melanie Melgar, who has the most quality work offered, because of the clean and fragrant clothes. MM Laundry Shop is the biggest laundry shop in the city.

While I’m going back to my condo unit, my phone rang. One of my batch mates reminded me that our reunion is tonight. I headed again to my closet and choose a royal blue dress designed by the famous fashion designer Robert Jovenal, and paired with a pair of silver-wedge heels designed by the famous shoe maker John Ray Panopio.

I looked at my watch. The time was 7:00 in the evening. The event will start at 8 o’clock and the venue is in Baguio. How can I arrive early? I remember that there is an Airline here in Sison City. I went to the Landingan Airlines as fast as I could. I saw beautiful and gorgeous flight attendants boarding. They are Joyce Ann Erestingcol, Angeli Galay, and Jhoannalyn Ritualo. Then I heard a voice calling for the chance passenger going to Baguio. I’m thankful that I immediately board. Then I saw my batch mate, the pilot in the airplane that I’m riding, Jerick Guleng. I reached Baguio in just 30 minutes. I called a taxi, and headed to the LJL Hotel. LJL Hotel was happened to be the venue of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit this year. And now this also the venue for the Reunion of Batch 2016. LJL stands for Laurence Joy Laxamana. LJL Hotel was constructed by the famous engineer in all time. She constructed the famous big buildings in the different countries. She is Engineer Fernanda Mitchelle Caoile.

It was just 7:45 in the evening when I reached the venue. Everybody was there. As I sat on the chair, I saw Bless Ann Joy Calugay and Arjay Laguit, the supermodels. I heard that there were a lot of professionals in our batch. There are engineers in the person of Valdric Calpotura (Mechanical Engineer), Mcklien Ilano (Geodetic Engineer), James Taban (Electrical Engineer), and Reymelyn Joy Wong (Civil Engineer). There are nurses also in the persons of Daisy Bazar, Allyson Claire Lendio, Gemma Palis, and Mary Rose Somera. There are also seaman where John Mark Baterina, John Gil Montifalco, and John Carlo Paset included. Hendrix Vinluan, an architect also my batch mate. Wow! There is a scientist also, Denverson Dizon. Two pharmacist also. They are Michelle-Ann Laluan and Jessica Nabor.

And wait! The program started. Our reunion is hosted by the Vice Ganda in our generation, Carl Winston Baustista, an outstanding comedian. Then he announces that there is a band that will perform ‘The Unexpected Girl Band’. At first, these girls didn’t know that they have talents, they only found out when they decided to form a band. It was formed because of the boredom and trips. The band was composed of the pianist, Kimberly Arellano, the vocalist, Pauline Estrada, the drummer, Renallyn Gacillan and the guitarist, Jamel Salvador.

After the unexpected girl band performed. There is another presentation given by the famous graceful ballerina, Angel Merry Sudiacal. Followed by the special number given by the famous dance instructor, Bong-Bong Montifalco with his students.

I forgot to tell you that the catering hired was owned by Mary Grace Gallego. Her cooks are the judges in the Master Chef, Chef Evangeline Soriano, Chef DivinaTerminez, and Chef Marie Grace Ungria.

“And everybody, ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome the Governor Romulo Enano”, announced by the host. And at his sides Wilford Xavier Antonio, a PNP Chief and Jayson Jovenal, a Military Officer.

But the main attraction of the night are the beauty queens. Shantalle Rose Velasco crowned as the Miss Universe 2026, Charvie Lopiba was crowned Miss Earth 2026, Lovely Mupas was crowned Miss World 2026, Ronalie Manuyag was crowned Miss International 2026, and lastly Christine Jane Orio was crowned Ms. Philippine Republic. They are all gorgeous and awesome.

Then there is a video flashed in the screen. A video of ALDUB 2026. The new ALDUB love team in this generation are Jansen Perez and Priscella Mae Biason. They sent their apology that they can’t join us in our reunion, because they have a mall tour at JD Mall of Asia.

After a couple of hours the batch decided to extend the reunion in the nearest Bistro from the LJL Hotel. We headed to the Galay’s Bistro owned by my former classmate, Mark Galay. Galay’s Bistro is the famous Bistro in Baguio City. It was visited by many tourists because of its unforgettable and delicious beverages.

At the Bistro, I’m with my friend dancing in the center of the dance floor when somebody bumped me that caused me to be sit on the floor. Then I saw a hand lying in my front saying “I’m sorry Miss…?” “Thalia I said. I accept his hand while saying “Oh! It’s OK.” Then I saw his face. A handsome man standing in front of me no other than Mark Axxel Ravelaz. “Thalia?” “Axxel?” We said in unison. We’re classmate from Grade 8 to Grade 10.

I was about to introduce my friend when she said “Oh, kindly excuse me Lia. I need to go somewhere.” “Wait”, I said. But I think she didn’t hear it, because of the very loud music playing. Then suddenly she disappeared.

Axxel invited me to have a chit-chat with him. So we headed to the side of the bistro, where tables are. He told me that he is now owning a telecommunication and he is the President and CEO in the Ravelaz Group of Companies. He also shared that two of our batch mates are working in his company, who are Jerrymie Aucena, a famous computer games programmer, and Janine Magliba, a famous Web Designer.

“Do you still remember Mikavien Acosta and Erika Jean Aglipay?”I asked. “Yeah. Of course.”he said. “They are now Certified Public Accountants”, I replied. “How about you?” he asked. “Me? I’ve been also a Certified Public Accountant like them. In fact, Mika and Erika own an Independent Accounting Firm that is international well-known accounting firm that recruited by my own firm. I’m the President and CEO of the international well-known FTEA Accounting and Finance Recruitment Agency which is the source of the best candidates in the market, who are the highest suitability for the clients. It is also the largest specialized accounting staffing in the Asia. FTEA stands for Frances Thalia Emperador Alpajora.” Then I heard someone calling my name and tapped my shoulder. I saw my grandmother. “Wake up. The time is 6:45 in the morning. You’ll be late in school.” So it’s mean, I’m only dreaming? It was the longest dream of all. My dream showed me the future – The future that awaited us for the new world. But we need to learn from our past to do the best in our present life to attain and achieve our dream. Dream that can be true in the future. A dream we wish that our heart makes. Living life to the fullest and thanking God in every morning he wake us up, giving another day that we can still say that “Today our life begins.”
